Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Advice, Training Tips, and News

BJJ is Everywhere and For Everyone

in Advice by

I think now is a great time to be a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner.  It’s not as scarce to find as it used to be pre-2005.  Even if you don’t live near a school, you can find a ton of resources online.  The number of resources available is not hard to find.

Adding some context, back in the days I remember when our academy had one brown belt, 2 purple belts, a few blues and whites.  The only black belt was the instructor.  When another purple belt would show up, we’d get excited.  Probably the same excitement as seeing a guest black belt today!

This is all to say, if you have been on the fence of joining, stop thinking and just do it.  Don’t bring any excuses.  If you think you need to get into shape to do BJJ, stop thinking about it.  BJJ will get you there.

Shameless plug time.  If you need a gi, check out our shop.  It’s affordable and you get equal quality as the other big names.

Now you have no reason to not train!  Get out there and have fun!
